Theresa Elango, MSN, APRN, NP-C

Theresa Elango, MSN, APRN, NP-C, brings more than two decades of diverse nursing experience to her role at Verispine Joint Centers. Known for her compassionate, detail-oriented approach, she is committed to helping patients achieve better outcomes through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary model of care.

Experience & Specialties

Theresa began her nursing career in 2002 after earning her Associate of Science in Nursing from Northern Virginia Community College. She gained early experience in both the Operating Room and the Neurology ICU at Grady Memorial Hospital before expanding her expertise through travel nursing, including work at Stanford University Hospital.

After returning to Atlanta, she continued her surgical experience at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2005) and Master of Science in Nursing (2011) from Brenau University and became board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).

Her career as an FNP has included roles in Primary Care, Vascular and Bariatric Medicine, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with seven years as a provider at the Shepherd Center. In 2024, she began specializing in interventional pain management, where she integrates her broad clinical background to address each patient’s unique needs.

Outside the Office

Outside of work, Theresa enjoys staying active, exploring new places, and spending quality time with family and friends.
